Jason was born in Hartford, Connecticut. He was an only child, spoiled rotten and had nothing to complain about. He was always a bit of a trouble-maker, just because wealth made him lazy and he'd rather be a pain in the ass than actually do something productive. He scraped through college (again, too lazy to study much more than the minimum he could do to pass) and was pushed into a job in his father's law firm.
At 27, while out on a boozy night with some friends, he was sired by a female vampire with a weird sense of humour. She drugged him and tried her best to force him into staying with her for a bit while he adjusted. He, however, didn't need so much time and he really didn't like her. He decided that going missing was a great way to cause some havoc and he spent the next 16 years travelling around the world and not doing a lot of importance.
He's now decided to go to Seattle simply because he's heard of Gabriel and Eddie and he's an ass who wants to get involved in a fight. He hasn't decided which side he'll be on yet though.
